  • Come learn more about how ProBuilt is building Sensibly Green!

No two ProBuilt homes are exactly the same. Each is custom built according to the client’s preferences. “We work with the client to determine their wants, needs and desires and then design a project that will give them the most benefit,” founder and president George Davis says. The company encourages customers to go green with its Sensibly Green philosophy. Davis emphasizes that green building is more affordable than people realize. “It’s important to be good stewards of our environment for future generations. What better way to do that than to use less energy and use recycled products?” Davis asks.

ProBuilt’s Green Home Tour entry features a dual-fuel furnace system that lowers heating-and-cooling costs, plus an on-demand water heater and low-flow toilets and faucets that reduce the water bill. “It’s a good example of our customized, but reasonably priced, approach to green building,” Davis says. His favorite features are the HVAC and insulation upgrades because they are simple improvements that result in significant savings on utilities over the life of the home. The home features low-VOC paints and sealants and a fresh air exchanger to produce better indoor air quality, while CFL and LED lights save additional energy costs. These and many other green improvements have earned the home an ENERGYSTAR rating and a National Green Building Standard Bronze certification. ProBuilt’s Sensibly Green promotion offers $2,500 in free energy-saving upgrades.
